It’s Almost Time for Border Wars! — On Saturday, August 30, the annual Border War Tailgate Party takes place in Owensboro prior to the Memorial versus Owensboro football game. Join the Memorial Friends and Alumni for the annual event complete with Moonlite Bar B Q and all the fixings! Game time is 5 p.m. on the campus of Kentucky Wesleyan College.

Intramural Bowling—Intramural bowling begins Sept. 3 at Willow Bowling Center. Teams of 4 will bowl 3 games and can win prizes for high scores, strikes, and gutter balls. League champions will receive tee shirts. Bowling starts at 3 p.m. each Wednesday. This 5-week league costs only $5 per person each week. Bowling Team tryouts will be held September 30 & October 2 from 2:45 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. at Willow Bowling Center.  Students are not required to attend both tryout sessions.  Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. beginning October 7.

Homecoming - October 3 — Due to the IHSAA realignment of the boys soccer tournament we have moved football homecoming from Saturday, October 18, to Friday, October 3, vs. Central.  The Castle game on Saturday, October 18, originally scheduled for a 7 p.m. kick-off will now kick-off at 3 p.m. The boys soccer regional championship game is also on Saturday, October 18, at 7 p.m.

Homecoming Tailgate PartyFriday, October 3, 2008.  Join the Memorial Friends and Alumni Association for the annual tailgate party on the front lawn of the campus around 4 p.m. until parade time.

Thank You Old National Bank and Friends and Alumni! — On Sunday, September 7th, Wayne Henning Field by Old National Bank will be formally dedicated prior to the start of the feeder school football games.  The event is scheduled to take place at noon prior to the start of the games.   All are welcome to come celebrate this monumental step in our athletic program!
